BIO
Shade Abdul is a Spatial Planner and PhD researcher whose work focuses on strategic planning, spatial strategy, and place-based development. Her research explores critical spatial practice at the intersection of race and urban regeneration.
She is a Principal Planner within the Planning Policy team at Luton Borough Council where she is working with colleagues to prepare the new Local Plan for the town.
She is a member of the London Borough of Hounslow's Design Review Panel. She was a member of the Southwark Land Commission.
Her research supervision team is: Adriana Cobo Corey (DoS), Anna Minton, Jeremy Till.
