BIO

Shibboleth is an educator, researcher, and activist. 

 

Shibboleth is Course Leader of BA (Hons) Interior and Spatial Design at the University of the Arts London, a higher education leader with Citizens UK working with communities to win change, and a PhD candidate in Educational Research at Lancaster University investigating students’ thinking through mapping to develop a cartosemiotic pedagogy in and for higher education.

 

Shibboleth's scholarship takes the form of exhibitions, events, conference presentations and publications on counter-mapping, community organising and climate justice. Shibboleth is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a UAL Senior Teaching Scholar, an award acknowledging her innovative practice and research integrating live project pedagogy into the curriculum.
