Caroline Stevenson is Programme Director of Curation and Critical Practice at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, and Director of the Centre for Fashion Curation.

Caroline is a curator, writer and researcher whose work expands the possibilities of fashion curation through feminist methodologies and collaborative practice. Her research examines how curatorial practice can create new conditions for producing and understanding fashion, and the institutional, cultural and political contexts that shape emerging fashion practices. She has developed collaborative projects with major cultural institutions and international partners across museums, galleries, festivals and academia, and her work has received support from Arts Council England and the British Council.

She is co-founder of Modus, an international curatorial platform that brings together practitioners and institutions to advance critical dialogue and new forms of exchange across fashion theory and practice. Alongside her curatorial work, Caroline is co-editor of Fashion Practice: The Journal for Design, Creative Process and the Fashion Industry and she publishes widely on contemporary art and fashion cultures. She is currently developing a collaborative exhibition and public programme with V&A East exploring the cultural lives of everyday clothing, and is leading the development of MA Fashion Storytelling, a new postgraduate programme created in partnership between London College of Fashion and the V&A.

A frequent media commentator, Caroline's knowledge and opinion on historical and contemporary fashion appears across the global media, including BBC World Service, BBC Culture, Vogue, The Guardian, The Times Style Magazine, Stylist, Harper's Bazaar, WWD, the New York Times and the Financial Times.
